Prairie’s music program will be putting on its annual Winter Holiday Band Concert December 13th at 7pm in the Concert Hall.

Every year the band performs holiday classics before winter break to spread some holiday cheer.

This year Symphonic Band will be playing Jingle Bells, In the Forest of the King, and The High School Cadets. Wind Symphony will perform Patapan Stille Nacht and the score from The Polar Express. Both bands will perform a fanfare together as well.

These festive songs are sure to get you in the holiday spirit this December.

The students have been working on these pieces for around 2 months. A lot of hard work goes in to giving a well crafted show, which is why band students are encouraging everyone to come see the show.

Senior french horn player, Caroline Sherman, said, ”We’re gonna play some super fun holiday tunes with lots of special effects! It’ll put you in the Christmas spirit!”

Tickets are sold at the door. $5 for adults, $4 for students, and $2 for senior citizens. Activity passes are accepted.

If you’re looking for a surefire way to get in the holiday spirit, consider coming to the Winter Holiday Band Concert tonight!
