Prairie Girls’ Track and Field team raced at Kingston Stadium Tuesday night for the Washington Warrior Invitational.

 

The windy conditions created hard races for the teams but the Prairie varsity girls were still able to come on top, placing second overall.

 

The girls’ relay teams took the win in the 4×400 meter dash, (Carli Reittinger, Emma Copeland, Alexis Moses, and Gabby Cortez,) 4×800 meter dash, (Carli Reittinger, Alexis Moses, Rachel Kilpatrick, and Gabby Cortez,) and the shuttle hurdle relay (Machi Haarder, Sarah Schmitt, Jessa Day, and Anna Millard.)

 

Not only did the girls dominate in the relays, they were able to place in individual events too.

 

The following is a list of the placements:

 

Carli Reittinger placed second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.43.

 

Gabby Cortez placed first in the 800-meter dash with a time of 2:25.42.

 

Maddie Andorf placed third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.39.

 

Laurdyn Meyer placed second in the 1500-meter dash with a time of 5:20.01.

 

Kaitlyn Gammon placed first in discus with a throw of 103-01.

 

Emma Joens places third in discus with a throw of 91-08.

 

Taylor Peterson first in high jump with a jump of 5 feet.

 

Sarah Schmitt placed second in long jump with a jump of 15-07.75.

 

Ava Andrews places third 15-05.50.
