Prairie Girls’ Tennis is kicking in this spring. April 9th marks the most recent meet for the team, at home vs. Dubuque Senior. Prairie finished short of Senior with a final score of 7-2.

 

Although their season has started off on the wrong note, Ayva Bohr is confident in the team.

 

“It is just the beginning of the year. We still have so much potential,” said Bohr.

 

The meet started with the singles matches. #1, Bohr and #3 Amanda Grimm went into a tiebreaker set with their opponents and were both defeated.

 

During the doubles matches, Prairie’s Emma Heggan and Lydia Welch beat their competitors in a tiebreaker set.  

 

The girls’ next home meet is this Tuesday, April 16th.

 

“We would love for everyone to come support,”  concluded, Bohr.
