The Prairie Girls’ Golf team had their second 18-hole golf meet on April 23rd at Hunter’s Ridge Golf Course. The meet consisted of 14 teams from all over the conference. During the 70 degree weather, the girls ended the meet with a score of 410, placing 12th. West Des Moines Valley took first with a score of 326.
“We played with a lot of great teams and for some of those teams, it was high stakes. But for us it was a good opportunity to get some more practice and improvement,” said senior, Morgan Flynn.
This was not the best score from the girls’ golf team, last Wednesday at Brown Deer, the girls scored a 402.
“The team that is going to win state is in this room. Although we didn’t play our best, it was a great experience for us as a team to compete at a high level. We just need to practice more on small details,” said Coach, Erik Columbus.
