Prairie cross country is taking on Crow Creek Park, in Bettendorf for the 2018 State Qualifying meet.


Both Prairie girls and Prairie boys are hoping to qualify for the State meet both individually and as a team. Ten teams tonight including Liberty will be fighting to qualify. The top 15 individually and top three teams get to race in Fort Dodge next Saturday, October 27th.


Prairie girls are planning to break history tonight for the Hawks, they are ranked second going into the meet.


The girls’ team has never qualified for state before. Laurdyn Meyer, Gabby Cortez, Kendall White, Carli Reittinger, Grace Long, Alyza Koppes, and Hailey Cooper are all in the position to qualify for state tonight.


Jack Pendergast leads the team and Colton Lagrange follows not far behind. The boys are also planning to qualify in Bettendorf tonight with being ranked in the top 3 teams also.
