Thursday, October 18th the girls cross country team broke history for the Hawks. They qualified for state for the first time.

Prairie competed against ten other teams at the Pleasant Valley, Crow Creek Cross Country Course for the State Qualifier meet.

In past years the girl’s team has had girls qualify individually but never as a whole. Prairie girls placed 2nd as a team with the help of Gabby Cortez (3rd), Laurdyn Meyer (4th), Kendall White (7th), Carli Rettinger (20th), Grace Long (23rd), Hailey Cooper (25th), Alyza Koppes (26th).

Prairie boys qualified again this year by placing 3rd as a team. They were led by Jack Pendergast (1st), Colton Langrange (13th), Hunter Kalous (17th), Andrew Bickford (18th), Ryan Nuebaur (19th), Carlo Dannenfelser (20), and Mackade Adams (21st).

The Prairie Community has shown pride for the XC program this year with all of the support shown at meets and through social media.
