Friday, October 26th brought Prairie (9) senior football players to tears in their 28-14 loss to the Johnston Dragon’s (8).

 

Prairie was scoreless in the first half, but scored 14 points in the second without Division-1 running back Keegan Simmons who was injured.

 

Even though Simmons was dealing with a groin injury, he managed to rush for 115 yards on 25 carries; becoming the first in Prairie history to pass the two-thousand-yard mark.

 

Anthony Coleman led Johnston with two interceptions and 2 offensive touchdowns, one of which resulted in a 70+ yard play.

 

The loss against Johnston puts Prairie’s season at an end. The Hawks finished 7-3 and runner-up in its district.
